BPC ছবির আড্ডা ft. Sumit Bhattacharya | April 2023 | Anwesha Mahata

ছবির আড্ডা with Sumit Bhattacharya

April 27, 2023,

I, Anwesha Mahata, stood witness to my very first photographic discourse with Sumit Da and other amicable folks at Aninko da's residence. After engaging with them and inspecting their pictures, I can surely say that it has enhanced my thinking capability, widened my visualization to be more creative and vivified my literary interpretation. Some of their opinions are differentiated from one another. But each perspective added proficiency and values to my core. I was introduced to Daido Moriyama, a notable Japanese photographer and Matt Stuart, a British street photographer from which I gathered abundant knowledge and expertise. I perceived that every single object, even a simple one can convey a deeper significance. I want to conclude by uttering that for me,

"Photography enacts the stipulated circumstances that are often left unspoken and imperceptible."

✍ Anwesha Mahata for BPC. April 2023.

In this edition of the BPC update, Anwesha Mahata takes over the BPC blog to talk about her experience from the first BPC ছবির আড্ডা held on April 27, 2023. Anwesha is pretty new to photography, and we thought it would be best to let her speak her mind. This was an open-to-all session. More such sessions to follow soon.
Finally, we take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sumit for making out time for us.

Sumit Bhattacharya (b.1994) is an independent storyteller based in India. His visual reference belongs to his very personal emotions, thoughts, and ideas. When words become unclear to him verbally, he makes an effort to communicate through the visual medium.
