How to Join BPC? | BPC Membership explained | #freeforever

The What, Why, & How of BPC membership explained!

BPC membership is nothing special. It is not required to go out and take photos. You can always talk/walk/sing/eat/sit with us. Being a member of the collective comes with very few perks and several responsibilities. Hence apply for a membership only when you are ready to commit. Idle membership is of no use to you or us. 

Now that you have decided to join us, here is what you have to do.

 1. Write a short paragraph to introduce yourself and how you came to know about BPC and why you want to join BPC? 

2. Select at least 15 of your favourite photographs (may or may not be a part of a photo story or essay- they can be 15 individual photographs or 15 or more photographs from any of  your projects)

a) Describe them in your own words.

b) Write an essay on the photographs you have selected. (You may write what made you choose those photographs, or write about what fuels your passion for photography, or if you have any thoughts on photography and contemporary art, feel free to elaborate)

This is where your work ends.

In the next stage, a group of 4-5 existing BPC members would review the submission, talk to you, and explain how BPC works, and what we aim to achieve. And on final approval, you would be welcomed into the BPC fold.

**You can write in either English or Bangla, or both.

**BPC membership is absolutely free. You would never be asked to pay anything for the membership. We are #freeforever

বি পি সি সদস্যপদের জন্য বিস্তারিত নির্দেশিকা।

 

বিপিসি সদস্যপদ বিশেষ কিছু নয়। ছবি তোলার জন্যে, ছবি নিয়ে আলোচনার জন্যে, আমাদের সাথে থাকতে আলাদা করে সদস্যপদের কোনোরকম প্রয়োজন নেই।

আপনি সবসময় আমাদের সাথে কথা বলতে/ফটো ওয়াকে/গান গাওয়ায়/খাওয়ায়/আড্ডায় নির্দ্বিধায় থাকতে পারেন। কালেকটিভের সদস্য হওয়ায় খুব যে সুযোগ-সুবিধা পাওয়া যাবে, তা কিন্তু একেবারেই নয়। তবে বেশ কিছু দায়িত্ব চলে আসবে, যা আগামীতে বাড়তি ঝামেলা মনে হলেও হতে পারে। সুতরাং আপনি যখন প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ হতে প্রস্তুত তখনই সদস্যপদের জন্য আবেদন করুন। নিষ্ক্রিয় সদস্যপদ আপনার বা আমাদের কোন কাজে আসবে না। 💛🖤

 এতটা পড়ার পরেও যদি আপনি আমাদের সাথে যোগ দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে থাকেন তবে আপনাকে যা করতে হবে তা এখানে দেওয়া হলো। 

১. নিজের পরিচয় দিয়ে একটি ছোট অনুচ্ছেদ লিখুন। আপনি কীভাবে বিপিসি সম্পর্কে জানতে পারলেন এবং কেন আপনি বিপিসিতে যোগ দিতে চান এ বিষয়ে আলোকপাত করুন। 

২. আপনার পছন্দের অন্তত 15টি ফটোগ্রাফ নির্বাচন করুন (প্রবন্ধ আকারে সাজিয়ে হতে পারে বা সাধারন ভাবে আপনার পছন্দের একক ১৫ টা আলাদা ছবিও হতে পারে- খেয়াল রাখবেন ১৫ থেকে কম যেন না হয়)

ক) ফটোগ্রাফ গুলোর বিস্তারিত বর্ননা দিতে হবে নিজের লেখার মধ্যে দিয়ে। 

খ) নির্বাচিত ছবিগুলো দিয়ে একটি প্রবন্ধ লিখতে হবে। (আপনি লিখতে পারেন- কেন আপনি এই ফটোগ্রাফগুলি বেছে নিয়েছেন?  বা আপনার ছবি তোলার গল্প সেখানে লিখতে পারেন। ফটোগ্রাফি নিয়ে আপনার কোনো মতামত থাকলে তাও জানাতে পারেন।)

 

উপরের ১ ও ২ হাতে লিখে, অথবা টাইপ করে .pdf ফরম্যাটে নিজের নাম, ঠিকানা, বয়স, এবং অন্যান্য জরুরি তথ্য দিয়ে পাঠিয়ে দিন আমাদের ইমেল আইডিতে - beltalaparkcollective@gmail.com

-আপনি ইংরেজি বা বাংলা বা উভয় ভাষাতেই লিখতে পারেন।

আপনার কাজ আপাতত এখানেই শেষ। 

এরপর ৪-৫জন  বিপিসি সদস্যদের একটি দল আপনার পাঠানো পিডিএফ দেখবে, পর্যালোচনা করবে, আপনার সাথে কথা বলবে, BPC কীভাবে কাজ করে এবং আমরা কী করতে চাই তা ব্যাখ্যা করবে। এবং চূড়ান্ত অনুমোদনে, আপনাকে বেলতলা পার্ক কালেকটিভ এ স্বাগত জানানো হবে।

আমরা ক্ষুদ্র এবং দক্ষ সিস্টেমকে মূল্য দিই, তাই পরিমাণের চেয়ে গুণমান আমাদের কাছে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
